Use primary and additional contact fields

Decide whose contact information a field represents and how Revup stores it.

Understand primary contact fields

Primary contact fields describe the participant completing the form. Revup uses them to create or update that participant's contact profile.

The available primary groups and fields include:

  • Name: Name Title, First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, and Name Suffix
  • Address: Address, Address Line 2, City, State, Postal Code, and Country
  • Email, Phone, Birthday, Gender, and Unique Identifier

When you add the Name or Address group, choose only the individual parts you need. Each selected part becomes its own field card and can be arranged independently.

Email, Phone, and Unique Identifier can identify the participant. A promotion must keep at least one of those three primary identifier fields.

Use additional contact fields

Additional fields collect information about someone or somewhere other than the participant, such as a guest, nominee, parent, prize recipient, shipping destination, or emergency contact.

Available groups include Additional Email, Additional Name, Additional Address, Additional Phone, Additional Birthday, and Additional Gender. Additional fields are stored with the submission but do not replace the participant's primary details or create a second contact profile.

Label every additional field with the person or purpose it represents. “Guest email” is clearer than “Additional Email.”

Configure contact-specific behavior

  • Primary Email supports verification codes and allowed or blocked domain lists.
  • Primary Phone supports verification codes and an international country selector.
  • Birthday and Additional Birthday support custom date labels, year limits, and minimum-age validation.
  • The primary street Address can use address autocomplete.
  • Gender option lists can be customized.
  • Email Consent and SMS Consent apply to integration syncing for the corresponding primary and additional contact values.

Check downstream data

Before publishing, submit a test response and confirm that primary values appear on the intended participant profile while additional values remain attached to the submission. Review any integration mappings after adding or changing contact fields.
