Understand the conversion funnel
See where visitors stop before entering and find ways to improve form completion.
Read your visitors' progress
Open your promotion's Reporting tab, choose a date range, and scroll to Conversion Funnel. Read the steps from left to right to see how visits turn into completed entries.
The funnel is available for Sweepstakes, Contests, Instant Win, and the Free Entry Form report for Purchase Sweepstakes when that form is enabled. It describes the entry form, not Shopify checkout.
Understand each step
Social Actions appears when your promotion has bonus actions. Its count differs from the headline Social Actions stat, which counts each completed action.
Understand percentages and drop-offs
Each step's percentage compares its count with Page Views. For example, 25 submitted forms from 100 page views shows 25% at Submitted Form.
The dropped count is the difference between a step and the one before it. If 60 started entries lead to 40 submitted forms, the funnel shows 20 dropped at Submitted Form. A more label means the next step has a higher count.
These are reporting totals, not a list of the same people moving through every step. Someone can start on one day and finish on another, and visits and entries are counted differently. A drop-off does not necessarily mean you have that person's contact details; check Abandoned Submissions for unfinished forms and contactable attempts.
Find a useful improvement
- Many visits but few starts: make the offer clear and check how quickly the form loads on a phone.
- A large drop between form pages: review the questions, uploads, and instructions on those pages.
- Many starts but few submissions: test required fields and error messages, and remove questions you do not need.
After making a change, compare similar date ranges and traffic sources.
When a step is empty
No funnel data available yet means the selected period has no recorded page views. Try a wider date range and refresh Reporting.
A zero at Started Entry or a later form page means no activity was recorded for that step in the period. Revup does not estimate missing steps from page views or completed entries.
