Configure limits that match the official rules and the level of assurance the contest requires.

Configure voting

1. Open the contest builder or dashboard voting settings.
2. Enable public voting.
3. Set the voting start and end times.
4. Choose how frequently a visitor may vote.
5. Enable email verification when a vote must be confirmed before it counts.
6. Review the vote button, confirmation, verification, limit, and closed messages.
7. Save and test the public gallery flow.

Choose the right limit

A one-time limit, daily limit, and per-submission limit create different experiences. Describe the rule precisely. “One vote per day” should identify the applicable timezone and whether the limit applies across the whole contest or to each submission.

Email verification

When enabled, the voter receives a verification step and the vote is not treated as verified until that step is completed. Test deliverability before launch and make the on-screen instructions clear.

Security and review

Voting limits reduce casual abuse but no public voting system can guarantee that every person acts honestly. Monitor unusual spikes, repeated patterns, and support reports. Use adjustment or cleanup tools only under an authorized, documented review process.

Explain how votes matter

State whether votes directly select the winner, contribute a score, identify finalists, or are for engagement only. Do not imply that the highest public vote total automatically wins when judges or other criteria make the final decision.
