Launch checklist for any promotion

Review the essential settings, tests, and ownership checks before making a Revup promotion public.

Use this checklist before sharing or installing any Revup promotion.

Promotion setup

  • Confirm the promotion name, start date, end date, and timezone.
  • Check eligibility, entry limits, and geographic restrictions.
  • Review prize names, quantities, values, and winner settings when applicable.
  • Review official rules and required disclosures. Revup’s generated rules are a starting point, not legal advice.

Participant experience

  • Preview the promotion on desktop and mobile.
  • Submit at least one complete test entry using a test address.
  • Test every required field, validation message, upload, payment, code, and multi-page transition.
  • Review pre-entry, success, losing, closed, not-started, and already-entered states that apply to the product.
  • Confirm confirmation messages and any email or SMS follow-up.

Design and language

  • Check the logo, colors, images, fonts, buttons, and contrast.
  • Confirm links open the correct destination.
  • Review every enabled language. Automated translations should be reviewed by a fluent speaker before launch.

Integrations and automation

  • Confirm each integration is connected to the intended account, list, audience, or destination.
  • Review field mappings and consent fields.
  • Submit a test participant and verify that data arrives in the destination.
  • Turn on only the Flows that should run for real participants.
  • Confirm the account’s email sender is ready before relying on workflow email.

Publishing

  • Confirm the hosted page, embed, popup, or Shopify placement you intend to use.
  • Test the exact page where the promotion will appear.
  • Make sure the page is not blocked by a password, consent layer, theme conflict, or content security policy.
  • Ask another teammate to complete a final test without guidance.

Ownership and operations

  • Decide who will monitor entries, integration failures, contest moderation, and support questions.
  • Decide who is authorized to draw or manage winners.
  • Record the planned drawing, announcement, and claim dates.
  • Confirm the team knows how refunds, disqualifications, replacements, and prize fulfillment will be handled.

Remove or clearly label test participants before relying on production reports or drawing winners.
