Revup can record that someone started a form but left before completing it.

This helps you identify friction and, where appropriate, help the person return.

An anonymous attempt does not contain enough identity information for follow-up. A contactable attempt includes an email or other supported contact detail. A recovered attempt later becomes a completed submission.

Review attempts

Open the promotion’s Reporting area and review abandoned-submission metrics and details. Look for pages or fields where exits cluster, repeated validation failures, slow uploads, or an unexpected difference between mobile and desktop.

Resume and follow-up

When resume behavior is available, a returning person may continue with saved values or start over. Test which field types are restored and how long the attempt remains usable.

Only send a recovery message when the person’s consent and your communication rules permit it. A partially entered email is not automatically marketing consent.

Improve completion

• Move unnecessary questions out of the form.
• Explain demanding uploads or payments early.
• Break long forms into meaningful pages.
• Fix unclear validation.
• Test on real mobile devices.

Abandoned attempts are operational signals, not completed submissions, and should be interpreted separately in reporting and exports.
