Understand promotion reporting

Understand metric definitions, product-specific reports, and changing totals.

Choose the period and metric

Open a promotion's Reporting section. Select the date period, refresh when needed, and open available cards or drilldowns for details. Use the promotion's time zone when comparing daily and hourly results.

Metric or viewWhat it represents
Page viewsMeasured visits, with deduplication; not a guaranteed count of distinct people.
Started EntryA person changes a field or completes a custom-field interaction. Focusing an untouched field alone does not count.
Participants / completed entriesSubmitted participant records counted in the report; separate from the number of chances awarded.
ConversionThe reported participant count divided by measured views for the selected grouping.
Social ActionsRecorded action completions, not independent proof that an external social platform confirmed a follow or purchase.
Traffic, geography, browser, and operating systemAvailable attributes of measured activity. Missing or unknown information can occur.

One participant can receive several bonus entries. Do not interpret their entry total as several people.

Choose the guide for your promotion

The help icon beside your reporting heading opens the guide for your promotion type. Use these guides for the metrics and actions on each screen:

Abandoned-form reporting distinguishes anonymous attempts, contactable attempts, and recovered submissions. A contactable abandoned form is not a completed participant record.

Why totals can change

Recent activity can take time to appear. Invalidating or deleting a participant changes eligible reporting; restoring validity can restore counted activity. Purchase refunds and recalculation can change entry totals.

Pending promotions can show prelaunch/test activity. Revup removes flagged prelaunch activity once when the promotion first enters its live reporting lifecycle. Later schedule edits do not repeatedly reset the report. Test submissions made after launch are excluded from live reporting.

Use participant or order detail to investigate one record. Use reports to understand trends. Export the matching date range and report type, and compare like-for-like measures rather than expecting a participant CSV and a reporting CSV to have identical row counts.
