Understand Purchase Sweepstakes reporting
Understand qualifying orders, purchasers, sales, purchase entries, and free-entry results.
Choose which entry path to review
- Open your Purchase Sweepstakes and select Reporting.
- Review Purchases for qualifying Shopify order activity. If the free entry form is enabled, select Free Entry Form to review its traffic and submissions.
- Set the date range beside the chart. Dates use the promotion’s time zone.
- Select a metric to see its trend. Use Refresh reporting data after order updates have been processed.
Read the Purchases metrics
For example, one customer placing two qualifying orders can contribute 2 Total Orders and 1 Unique Purchaser. Those orders may award many Purchase Entries according to your promotion’s rules.
A customer who buys on two different days can appear in both daily purchaser counts but only once in the range total. Adding daily Unique Purchasers together can therefore produce a larger number than the headline total.
If results include multiple currencies, use the currency buttons to switch between them. Sales and purchase totals are reported separately by currency; Revup does not combine them into one converted sales amount. Purchase Referrals is a promotion-level count rather than a currency-specific sales metric. Ordinary Social Actions include participants from both entry paths.
Understand Purchase Details
If a warning says order calculations are unavailable, those orders are excluded from the totals. Investigate the affected order records before treating the report as complete.
Compare purchases with free entries
Free Entry Form shows form Participants, Page Views, Conversion Rate, Form Referrals, and the available form-reporting breakdowns. Form Referrals counts valid free-entry signups through referral links, using their submission dates. Purchase Referrals uses the first qualifying referred order date within the selected range.
A referred person who uses both paths can appear in both referral metrics, while the referral relationship earns only one bonus. The referrer’s own entry path does not decide which report counts the activity.
Shopify orders are reported under Purchases. Ordinary Social Actions include participants from both paths, but the Share row follows the selected tab’s referral count and label. Do not add the action totals from the two tabs and assume they represent distinct activity.
The same person can participate through both paths. Do not add Unique Purchasers and form Participants and assume the result is a count of distinct people. Likewise, Purchase Entries is only one part of a participant’s total chances to win.
Export and reconcile results
In Purchases, open Download reporting data → Download Purchase Analytics when your role has the required export permission. In Free Entry Form, use Download Report for the form’s daily reporting breakdown.
Before comparing with Shopify, match the promotion’s qualifying rules, order dates, time zone, and currency. Refunds, removed orders, and recalculations can change earlier purchase totals because reporting reflects the current qualifying value of orders in that period.
