Configure security, CAPTCHA, geography, and entry limits

Choose the Revup protections that fit your promotion without creating unnecessary barriers for legitimate participants.

Choose protections for different risks

Revup combines several controls that address different kinds of unwanted or ineligible activity. Open Security in the builder to choose a protection level, limit repeat entries from the same network, manage specific IP addresses, block known VPN or proxy connections, and restrict access by country.

CAPTCHA is managed as a form field under Form β†’ Form Fields. Eligibility requirements such as minimum age and agreement to official rules are also collected through form fields and should match the promotion's official rules.

Choose the right guide

  • Choose a promotion security level explains Strict, Medium, Low, Off, and Custom.
  • Add CAPTCHA protection to a promotion explains how to add, remove, and test CAPTCHA.
  • Limit repeat entries and filter IP addresses covers per-IP limits, manual allow and block rules, and VPN or proxy blocking.
  • Restrict promotion access with geofencing explains the country allowlist.

Before you launch

Match every enforced limit to the official rules, then test both an allowed and a blocked attempt. Use the least intrusive control that addresses the actual risk. Shared households, offices, schools, public Wi-Fi, travelers, and privacy tools can make legitimate participants look similar to abusive traffic.

Security signals reduce abuse, but they do not replace winner eligibility review, official rules, or documented moderation.
