Set up authenticated email sending

Compare sending from revupmail.com with sending from your own domain, then set up and verify your sender.

Choose Revup-managed sending or a custom domain

Open Account β†’ Email Sending. The page has two sending options:

  • Revup managed sending sends emails from an address on revupmail.com. You can use your business name as the sender name and select your verified inbox for replies. No changes to your domain's DNS are needed. This option is available to trial and paid accounts.
  • Custom domains lets you send from your own domain, such as hello@yourbrand.com. It requires an active paid account, access to your domain's DNS settings, domain verification, and Revup approval.

Use Revup-managed sending to get started without configuring a domain. Connect a custom domain when you want your own domain to appear in the email's From address. Paid accounts can keep using Revup-managed sending; a custom domain is optional.

What participants see

The sender name can be your business name with either option. The From address is what changes: revupmail.com for managed sending, or your domain for custom sending.

Reply-To controls where replies go. For example, a managed email can come from revupmail.com while replies go to your verified hello@yourbrand.com inbox. Verifying that inbox does not make managed emails come from yourbrand.com.

With a custom domain, you can use hello@yourbrand.com as both From and Reply-To. Always check both selections in your Flow.

Start with Revup-managed sending

  1. Under Revup managed sending, review Edit Business Profile and keep the details current before going live.
  2. Select Add Sender Email if you need to add an inbox, enter your sender details, and complete the verification email sent to that inbox.
  3. Use Set as Default for your preferred sender and check the From and Reply-To selections in your Flow.

No custom-domain connection or DNS setup is required.

Connect your own domain

Before starting, make sure your account has an active paid subscription, you can edit the domain's DNS records, and you can receive email at the sender inbox you plan to use.

  1. Under Custom domains, select Connect Custom Domain.
  2. Enter your domain and add the displayed DNS records at your DNS provider.
  3. Recheck domain verification in Revup. Complete your business details and wait for Revup approval; DNS verification alone does not make a domain ready to send.
  4. Once the domain is ready, select Add Sender Email for an inbox on that domain and complete mailbox verification.
  5. Choose that custom-domain sender in your Flow and confirm the Reply-To address.

Connecting a domain does not replace the need to select the intended sender in your Flow.

Confirm your setup

Send a test Flow email and inspect the full From and Reply-To addresses, not just the displayed sender name. Check branding, links, unsubscribe, and delivery, then reply to confirm that the response reaches the right inbox.

If a custom sender is unavailable, check the account's billing status, DNS verification, Revup approval, and any sending hold shown in Email Sending. Resolve the displayed issue before launching the Flow.
