Add bonus actions, coupons, and passcodes

Configure post-entry engagement actions and distribute or validate codes safely.

Add an action after the form

Open Post-Entry β†’ Social Actions and use the add-action menu. Choose an action, then customize its label, instructions, button, destination, and entry value where available. Complete every required setting before testing. Available controls vary by action; do not assume every action supports daily repeats.

Action familyWhat to configure and check
Share with friendsReferral instructions and reward. A personal referral link is different from a campaign tracking link. Check an eligible friend's completed entry before expecting a reward.
Visit Website, app downloads, and social follow/post/watch/listen actionsThe correct public URL, account, media, or app destination. Opening or completing Revup's action is not independent confirmation from the external platform.
Answer Questions and PollThe question, allowed answers, and any available correct-answer or results options. Poll results and vote counts are separate display controls.
Extra EntryEntry value and available repeat settings. Explain the reward without implying an external task occurred.
File UploadAccepted file types and maximum files. Check the uploaded result as well as the entry award.
Newsletter Sign UpRequire Opt-in Checkbox and Opt-in Text. The action's Email Integration control is currently disabled; completing it does not establish a connected newsletter subscription.

The promotion's Integrations tab and primary Email Consent field are separate from the newsletter action. Configure and test your actual delivery path before promising that someone has joined a mailing list.

Distribute coupon codes

Coupon Code gives an eligible participant a code from the uploaded pool. It does not itself award bonus entries or create a discount in Shopify or another store. Create valid discounts in the destination before importing their codes.

Paste up to 1,000 comma-separated or line-separated codes, or upload a CSV using the first column without a header. Review processing results. Set each code batch's claim allowance; unlimited use means the code can be assigned repeatedly. Each participant receives one code for that action, and reopening returns their existing code. Exhausted inventory prevents a new claim.

Unlock requirements can require completion of other actions first. Make that requirement clear. Claimed codes cannot be individually deleted using the unused-code removal action.

Accept passcodes for bonus entries

Passcodes awards the configured entries when a participant redeems an accepted code. Upload a separate pool or enable Use passcodes already uploaded to the form.

Passcode Limit Per Participant defaults to one. Use Make unlimited only when participants may redeem more codes. This limit is separate from Allow passcodes to be used more than once, which controls reuse across claims and is off by default for a separate pool. Shared form codes use their form-code rules. Unlock requirements can gate this action behind other completed actions.

This post-entry action does not gate the initial form submission. The Passcodes form field does. Instant Win Code matches prize allocation, and a Purchase Sweepstakes Coupon Bonus awards entries for an order's discount code; neither is this action.

Test the full reward path

Use dedicated staging codes and identities. Check the first claim, repeat claim, invalid code, exhausted pool, per-person limit, and locked/unlocked state. Confirm the participant's entry breakdown and any actual discount redemption separately. Keep undistributed codes and exports confidential.
